Overview

In this article you can find out how to manage users login information within MEDI-BOOK.

Procedure

1. First you must login to your MEDI-BOOK account (edu365.org.uk), this account must have Administrator privileges.

2. Select System Administration from the bar at the top of the screen.

3. Select Authentication.

4. Select Manage User Accounts.

Adding a new User

To add a new user login to the system:

1. Select Add New Dashboard User.

On this page you will be asked for a series of information, below is the explanation for each field.

Full Name – This is the users full name.

Email Address – This is the new users email address which is what they’re username will be.

Organisation ID – This will be the name of your school/nursery from the drop down menu.

Department – This is the group of staff that the user is part of e.g. SLT.

Password – This is the new users’ password they will use to access MEDI-BOOK.

First Aid Trained – This is a simple tick box whether the user is first aid trained or not.

First Aid Expiry Date – This is only applicable if the previous box is ticked but this will be the expiry date of the users first aid certificate.

First Aid Type – This is the type of first aid training certificate the user has achieved if applicable.

Permissions Level – This is the level of access the user will have when using MEDI-BOOK and what each level grants the user access to will be defined by the Permissions Management screen.

View Secured Data – This tick box gives the user the ability to view secured data.

Once completed click Save New User to create the account.

Manage a User

To manage a user login on the system:

1. Navigate to the Manage User Accounts screen as shown at the top of this guide.

2. Select the user from the left hand side of the screen.

3. Once selected, the user information will appear on the right hand side, along with the green Edit Record button, click this to begin editing a users information.

4. Once you have made the relevant changes select Update User Information at the bottom of the screen.

Delete a User

To delete a user login from the system:

1. Navigate to the Manage User Accounts screen as shown at the top of this guide.

2. Select the user from the left hand side of the screen.

3. Once selected, the user information will appear on the right hand side, click the red Delete button and the user will be removed from the system and no longer have access to MEDI-BOOK.
