Overview
This is a guide that runs through how to add an illness on the iOS and Android MEDI-BOOK apps.
Procedure
iOS
1. Firstly, you will need to have downloaded the MEDI-BOOK app from the App Store on your device.
2. Next, you will need to have your MEDI-BOOK login details and use them to login to the app when it’s finished downloading.
3. You will now see the Home Screen of the MEDI-BOOK app. There are three main clickable buttons: Add Accident Info, Add Illness Info and Report Signatory. In this case you will need to select Add Illness Info.
4. Once you have selected Add Illness Info, this will bring up the accident report menu, the user will need to fill in all of the fields in the form with the appropriate information about the illness, followed by selecting the blue Submit button.
5. You will then be notified by a green bar at the top of the screen that your record has been created successfully.
Android
1. Firstly, you will need to have downloaded the MEDI-BOOK app from the Google Play Store on your device.
2. Next, you will need to have your MEDI-BOOK login details and use them to login to the app when it’s finished downloading.
3. You will now see the Home Screen of the MEDI-BOOK app. There are three main clickable buttons: Add Accident Info, Add Illness Info and Report Signatory. In this case you will need to select Add Illness Info.
4. Once you have selected Add Illness Info, this will bring up the accident report menu, the user will need to fill in all of the fields in the form with the appropriate information about the illness, followed by selecting the blue Submit button.
5. You will then be notified by a green bar at the top of the screen that your record has been created successfully.
To create an illness record whilst offline
This is applicable to both iOS and Android MEDI-BOOK apps.
1. You must ensure that you have no access to wifi/mobile data before you start to create the record.
2. Once step 1 is complete, go about creating the record as you normally would. After you select the Submit button, the green message will notify you that the record has been successfully inserted into the system as an offline record.
3. In order to complete the record and add to the system as a normal record you must regain access to wifi/mobile data when you can.
4. When you have regained access to wifi/mobile data, load up the MEDI-BOOK app and you will get a pop up notifying the user that “Offline Records have been found”, the pop up will have a green SYNC button, you need to click this to sync the records with the servers and move to the next stage.
5. Now, once you have completed the above steps, you will need to gain access to MEDI-BOOK on a PC (edu365.org.uk).
6. Once logged in, navigate to the MEDI-BOOK menu on the top taskbar.
7. Followed by Illness Management.
8.Followed by Match Offline Illness Records.
9. Now you’re in the Match Offline Illness Records menu, you should see the accident records that you created when without wifi/mobile data.
10. Finally all you have to do is match the offline records with the name of the person they belong to, do this using the drop down menus provided and then click the green Save button.
